Target Audience research was not only one of the most interesting phases of this project, but also one of the most helpful.
The initial phase of my research focused on identifying and understanding the preferences and needs of three key demographics: Chefs, Home Cooks, and Family and Friends of Chefs.
As I delved deeper into my analysis, I realized the importance of considering a wider range of perspectives to ensure the comprehensiveness and inclusivity of my application.
This led me to include Fans of Cooking Competition Shows.
Once I completed my target audience research this application saw a pivot from a competitive space for chefs to a place that welcomed personal growth for home cooks that want to continue to build their understanding of flavors, techniques and challenge themselves to grow from a home cook to chef.

After completing target audience research this inspired the direction of the overall design.
The final prototype is meant to feel welcoming, bright and un-intimidating. This application will be something that home cooks come back to time and time again and should feel like a simplified-clean space.
The three arrows at once seem like they're skipping the next steps. It would be better to have just one arrow icon to reduce confusion for users.
